Carry-On Packing Guide
Packing a carry-on well is not about taking less of everything. It is about giving every item a place.
1. Start with outfits, not individual items
Before packing, plan outfits by day or activity. This helps you avoid packing too many “just in case” items that never get worn.
2. Use cubes by category or outfit
Pack tops in one cube, trousers and layers in another, and underwear or accessories in a smaller cube. For short trips, you can also pack one cube per outfit.
3. Compress bulky clothing
Use compression cubes for items like T-shirts, trousers, gymwear and lighter layers. Close the cube first, then use the compression zip to reduce bulk and create a neater shape.
4. Separate laundry and shoes
Keep worn clothes away from clean items using a laundry bag. Use a shoe bag for trainers, flats or sandals so they do not sit loose inside your suitcase.
5. Keep essentials easy to reach
Pack chargers, underwear, nightwear or first-day outfits somewhere easy to access. This helps if you arrive late or need to unpack quickly.
6. Do one final edit
Before closing your suitcase, remove anything that does not have a clear purpose. If you are packing for a 3–5 day trip, the goal is a calm carry-on, not a backup wardrobe.
Stowform sets are designed to make this process easier by giving each part of your packing a clear place.
